Hello everyone!

I am here playing along with the Gina K. Designs February Monthly Mix Challenge over at StampTV. Cathy Tidwell is this month's hostess and her challenge is called, "And the Envelope Please!". If you want to play along the challenge will run the whole month of February you can find all the details  HERE.

Here is my take on the challenge. I am using the newly released stamp set created by Gina K. daughter Alicia Krupsky. The stamp set is called Frisky Felines. I stamped and die cut the cute kitten on Kraft paper, I then colored him with Chameleon Color Tones pencils.

Thank you so much for stopping by, please come back again soon!

Celebrating Mardi Gras with Joy Clair!

Tuesday, February 13, 2018

Hello everyone!

I am here with Joy Clair and we are celebrating Mardi Gras! I am using the stamp set called Mardi Gras.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets of Joy Clair Stamps!  Be sure to stop over on Joy Clair Blog to see all the Mardi Gras inspired cards!
Here is my card:

Here is how I put my card together:

I started out with an A2 card and cut out a piece of cardstock 4 x 5 1/4 and embossed it with an embossing folder.

I used my Silhouette to cut the SVG file for my masks that I wanted to use on my card.  Did you know with every stamp set you purchase from Joy Clair you get the SVG file free?  I then used my Misti and trimmed down the piece of paper that was cut with my Silhouette, I took a piece of post-it note and laid the cut file on top.  I centered the stamp over the negative cut and stamped it.  If the stamp was not centered you can always move the paper around.

Once I got the stamp where I wanted it, I stamped the image.

I placed the positive cut into the negative template, and re-stamped the stamped image.  Whalla, I have a perfect stamped image!  You can repeat stamping as many of these images as you want.  I like to have a few on hand just incase I wanted to use them on another project.  You can also keep the negative piece of paper if you want.

Retro Rubber Challenge Blog #80

Tuesday, February 13, 2018

Hello everyone!

I am here with Retro Rubber Challenge Blog and we have a new challenge, which is use circles on your card!  Who doesn't love circles?  I know I do, so I pulled out one of my oldies but goodies stamp set by My Favorite Things called "Party Patterns" which was released sometime in 2014.  The sentiment is also by My Favorite Things called "Written in Watercolor" which was released in June of 2015.

If you have not joined our challenges before, the rules are very simple, just use a stamp older than a year and you must include the age (or approximate age) of the stamp in your blog post.

Joy Clair - Color by Faith

Monday, February 12, 2018

Hello everyone,

I'm here with Joy Clair sharing a couple of cards from the Color by Faith line.  The first one is Chair Breaker and my second card is Washed by the Blood.  If you are a bible journaler you have to browse around the Joy Clair blog and see what the design team has created with these sets!

Here is how I put the card together:

1. I started with an A2 card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2),
2. The black layer is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, and the white card stock is 4 x 5 1/4,
3. I stamped the chains from the Joy Clair Stamp set "Chain Breaker"with
4. I used some silver embossing powder and heat set it with a heating tool,
5. I colored the chains with Spectrum Noir metallic colored pencils and
used gamsol to get a smooth look,
6. To finish the card off, I added the sentiments from the the Joy Clair Stamp set "Chain Breaker"
using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

Here is my second card which is from the Joy Clair stamp set "Washed by the Blood".  I think this is a very versatle set!  You can go all kinds of directions, I chose to use the Joy Clair stamp set "Oh Baby" with this set too.

Here is how I put my card together:

1. I started with an A2 card (4 1/4 x 5 1/2),
2. I die cut the back panel and adhered it to my card,
3. I stamped the images from the stamp set "Washed by the Blood" and
colored them with copics.  I also stamped the baby with the umbrella from the stamp set "Oh Baby"

and fuzzy cut him out and colored him with copics,
4. I used foam tap and popped the images on my card,
5. I then stamped the image with Black Memento ink and die cut it out and adhered it to my card.

Playful Pups

Bundle Stamps and Dies- Playful Pups

I couldn't decide which puppy I wanted to use because I think they are all so cute, but I decided on this one.  I decided to use the heart cut out which I thought went perfect with the sentiment!  I cut a circle with the Gina K. Designs Circle single stitched die and adhered it into the frame of the heart.  I colored the puppy with copics, die cut him out and popped him up in the center of the circle.  I added the sentiment and finished the card off with some sequins.

Isn't this kitty the cutest, he looks like he has been into something he was not suppose to.  I stamped the base of my card with Gina K. Designs Kraft ink, I added the two layers, colored the kitty and yarn with copics, added my sentiment and added some Gina K. Designs Crystalline Drops on my card.

And lastly here is my playful pup, he is our family dog and he is about 7 years old!  He is a friendly dog and loves to be with family.  If I had to tell you one thing about him, is he NEVER goes to bed without his treat, he will come and nudge you and tell you "I'm ready to go to bed and I need my treat".

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have been inspired! For more inspiration, below is the blog hop list, please stop by and leave a comment.  Don't forget there is a chance to win a $50 gift card to the Gina K. Store....Good Luck!
